Take a glimpse of the Royal Treasury in the Tower of London and walk in the footsteps of the Beatles in our amazing trip! A 4 night stay in London and a 6 night stay in Scotland, will give you a flavour of this majestic country which will hold your memories in years to come! Day 1. LONDON

MyPeople, welcome to the city that is a melting pot of all cultures. It truly is an international city!

Londonderry is a city built by the Romans! A city which celebrates its Royals who live in the grand Buckingham Palace, a city with a rich tradition of kings and queens that has in its roots the Industrial Revolution, and has experienced a rich collaboration of historic and avant-garde architecture.

We will embark on a city tour, witnessing the most iconic Tower Bridge, and then move towards Piccadilly Circus, a public square in London’s West End, a place filled with illuminated billboards, a sight reminiscent to that of New York’s Times Square. We will also see the Westminster Abbey, a gothic monastery in London, the final resting place of many great Monarchs, and today it is known as a place of worship. It is a grand church with medieval architecture over 700 years old. MyPeople, I know you are eager to see The Big Ben, the most famous landmark of London. The Clock Tower, whose clock was the largest in the world when it was installed and is known for its reliability, Big Ben’s Bell hasn’t failed to chime quarterly and tell us the accurate time even once since 1859! We will witness the longest river of London, River Thames, and head to Trafalgar Square, the largest square in London that is home to Nelson’s column, enchanting fountains and many cultural events. We will pass by the Houses of Parliament also known as the Palace of Westminster, the place where Sir Winston Churchill and now David Cameroon chalk out the destiny of Great Britain! MyPeople, then we will head to Hyde Park, one of the eight Royal Parks of London. We will stroll through its famous landmarks and relax in the Park like Londoners do!

Later in the day, we can also experience the stunning views of London, when we go on the London Eye ride and view the breath-taking evening sky in all its royal glory!

It’s our second day in the Victorian city, MyPeople! We will head to the famous and must-do stop which is Madame Tussauds. Romance with the wax figures of the A-List celebrities and strike a pose for the paparazzi!! It’s time now to enjoy the quintessential London thing to do. What’s more? A special Bollywood section, where you can mimic Katrina Kaif’s dance move or get up close with India’s favourite hunk, Hrithik Roshan also don’t forget to pay your respects to Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela in the World Leaders section. That’s not all, there is a special Marvel Super Heroes 4D exhibition, where you can see a larger than life Hulk in his intimidating avatar!

We will then head to the Tower of London, built around the White Tower, which was an imposing fortress that symbolised military architecture created by William the Conqueror to protect London. Today, the fortress houses the world’s most famous diamond, the Kohinoor and we will have a chance to take a glimpse of it along with the fabulous collection of Crown Jewels!

We will also visit the Home of the Ashes Urn, The Lord’s Cricket Stadium! We will observe its extraordinary architecture and amazing collection of memorabilia that will give cricket fans, Goosebumps! This is where Test Cricket Heroes like Bedi, Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Vengsarkar and Sachin Tendulkar walked side by side and are celebrated with Ian Botham, Brian Lara, Imraan Khan and Vivian Richards to name a few, in the Cricket’s Hall of Fame.

Today MyPeople, we will visit one of the largest and most occupied castle in the world. The Windsor castle which was inhabited and renovated by various Monarchs! It is the castle where The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a ball, now isn’t that a castle worth visiting?

We will then head to the iconic stones of Stonehenge, a symbol of mystery and power. We will hear mysterious stories about Merlin the Magician and how no one has been able to solve the enigma of Stonehenge.

After our visit, we will head to the city of Bath, which is a World UNESCO Heritage site. The Romans discovered its natural hot springs and enjoyed the thermal baths and King George built beautiful Palladian buildings which blend aesthetically with the Roman baths.

Are you ready to get some adrenalin rush, MyPeople? Then we will head straight to Chertsey, the home of London’s famous Thorpe Park, designed to excite thrill seekers!

This theme park destination is where we will be for the day, taking in the heart-stopping chills and have extreme action rides on the Stealth and Swarm Roller Coasters, Ghost Train, Tidal Wave and Nemesis to start with! Enjoy your day of fun at the World’s most popular Entertainment Park.

We head back to London in the evening and have a relaxed evening! Use your free time walking around Central London around Soho or Covent Gardens or visiting Oxford Street with Londoners window shopping or just relaxing and watching this busy city in action!

As we say goodbye to London we are headed to Oxfordshire the home of 38 Colleges which form the most famous and oldest University of the English Speaking world – Oxford University! We will board the HOHO bus, and tour this great city which has educated 27 Nobel Laureates, 26 British Prime Ministers and churned out many a famous Scholars, Scientists, Doctors, Poets and World Leaders.

We will then head to Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire, where the greatest playwright, William Shakespeare was born and is renowned for his great plays like Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and many more. We will stop by Shakespeare’s house which many literary enthusiasts consider as a shrine. Follow in the footsteps of not only Shakespeare but also great writers who walked through this house. It gives us a small glimpse into the fascinating world of the greatest artist of all time.

We now make our way towards Manchester, the city of the ManchesterUnited Football team and Beatles!

Next morning, we will have a guided Manchester city tour. A city with a rich industrial heritage, Manchester today is home to best football teams, music and unique architectural styles. We will see the world’s first passenger railway station and the University where the atom was split and witness the great Victorian buildings and the ultra-modern area of Salford Quays! Come MyPeople, it is time to celebrate the multicultural city of Manchester.

We will then head to the most visited stadium of all time, the Old Trafford, the place where one of the best football teams calls home. This theatre of dreams will bring you a sense of nostalgia of the greatest matches ever played. Witness the Alex Ferguson Stand and feel the aura of the dressing room, and if you listen closely you might hear the echo of 76,000 fans roaring and cheering for their Football Heros.

Later in the day we head toward York, MyPeople! A city known to have been founded by the ancient Romans. A local expert will take us through the city of narrow streets, called Shambles, and tell us about its heritage. MyPeople, we are definitely going to visit the beautiful gothic cathedral, the York Minster. You will discover the city walls form a walkway on either side of the river. During your free time feel free to visit the Monk Bar, which has a stunning exhibition of the 15th century King Richard III.

MyPeople, we are now heading towards Bonnie Scotland!! On the way we have a TimeOut opportunity to visit Windermere Lake, the largest lake in the Lake District of England. Here you will board a serene boat and cruise on Windermere Lake. We will see the stunning views of the Lakeland Fells. You will enjoy scenery of the rolling hills of England and the secluded bays of the Windermere at your leisure.

After a relaxed time by Lake Windermere we will leave for Glasgow, and make a quick stop at Gretna Green. Gretna Green is a quaint village in Scotland known for its runaway weddings! Today, it has become known as the world’s most popular wedding destination. We will halt at the Old Blacksmith’s shop, where the old blacksmith along with his anvil would join couples in marriage in the heat of the moment and bind them for eternity.

We will then head towards Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city known for its internationally-acclaimed museums, beautiful architecture and friendly locals. Our first stop is the Glasgow Cathedral, built on the site of Saint Kentigern’s tomb. You can walk through the Blackadder Aisle and admire the beautiful ceiling or visit one of the carefully preserved post-war collection of stained glass windows in Britain. We will then visit the University of Glasgow and George Square, dominated by grand City Chambers, the headquarters of the city council. The square is usually a place for public gatherings, where we can see locals unwind. We will bring our day to an end and experience the nightlife of Glasgow.

WINDMERE LAKE DISTRICT WITH CRUISE – £25

Good morning, MyPeople! Are you ready to explore more of Scotland? Sound of the Bagpipes and unmatched scenery will be a feast for your senses today as we drive through the Great Glencoe the home to McDonalds tribe of the Highlands! You will be moved by the haunting stories of massacres and treachery as we drive to one of the largest freshwater loch in Scotland. We will embark on the Loch Lomond Cruise, and experience its enchanting waters, wildlife, and the mysterious floating islands and ofcourse the stately homes that make the Loch trip so special.

Munro Munro here we come!!! Munro is a mountain and we are headed to the highest mountain in the United Kingdom Ben Nevis! We scale to the Summit by a cable car and take in the stunning countryside views of Scottish Highlands around Fort William.

We will then stop by the Commando monument: the Commandos were commissioned as Special Black Ops Do or Die Soldiers during World War II by Prime Minister Winston Churchill to strike back against the German armies and were trained in conducting irregular warfare in different environments. Come witness this monument and hear more stories of these special War Heroes! Our evening stay will be around Fort William: unwind around cosy fire places and share a wee dram or two and hear ghost stories of the past shared by locals having a pint or two!

MyPeople, we will depart from Fort William for the beautiful and stunning landscapes of the Isle of Skye in Portree. Being second-largest of Scotland’s islands, Isle of Skye has sparkling lochs, towering cliffs and as the mist closes in on its jagged mountains and castles, it’s a very calming and serene place to be.

We are on the Whiskey Trail !!! Highland water has a special quality which makes Scottish Whiskey the best in the World! We will visit the whisky distillery of Talisker or any other distillery that might be on our way! You can taste an alluring, full-bodied single malt whisky and see how it is made before heading to Inverness.

Now its Monster Spotting time!! Lets stop and focus our binoculars to spot one of our favourite, mythical Loch Ness Monster, Nessie! Loch Ness is one of the largest lakes in Scotland and has many historic attractions and natural wonders and lovely eateries. Our quick pit stop at Loch Ness will give us legendary and super camera memories to take home!

On the way we will stop by the Urquhart Castle, a picturesque castle on the banks of Loch Ness. It is said that this is where the sightings of the Loch Ness Monster were reported! Take in the beautiful views and take some more pictures of the scenery and unwind with your friends.

Lets use your TimeOut opportunity, and stop and visit the Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most photographed castle in the country. It is a Scottish icon and when you take a glimpse of the castle located on a little island, you will realise the spectacular setting of this lovely castle. We will then head to Portree of the Kyle of Lochalsh to unwind for the evening.

EILEEN DONAN CASTLE – £25

MyPeople, we are now heading to the most awaited stop on our journey, Edinburgh the Capital of Kingdom of Scotland! Lets visit the famous Edinburgh Castle and meet Robert the Bruce and William Wallace! This historic fortress sits on a volcanic rock since the beginning of time, is the birthplace of many Monarchs, and houses the Crown Jewels of Scotland, the stone of Destiny and the National War Museum of Scotland with history dedicated also to the Tiger of Mysore!

We will then visit the medieval Old Town and New Town and make our way to St. Giles Cathedral, and see the beautiful stained glass windows and the impressive Rieger organ. Thereafter, we will visit the Scott Monument, built to commemorate the greatest novelist, Sir Walter Scott. We will also walk through the Royal Mile that runs from the Edinburgh castle to the gates of the Palace of Holyrood House.

Enjoy Edinburgh’s multi-ethnic cuisine and venture into the city to celebrate the last night of your tour, party with your new found friends and make the most of your time exchanging your “keep in touch” details. Make it an evening to remember!

MyPeople, all good things have a beginning and an end. Alas! Our fantastic journey together through beautiful England and Scotland comes to an end, and with suitcases full of souvenirs and hearts full of memories, we will transfer you to London Airport, and bid you Adieu!
